Susan Motkaluk Overview
Susan is a Civil Engineer, business leader, board member of several prestigious technology companies, and a TEC Chair, dedicated to advancing women in technology. She utilizes her experience and expertise in LIDAR data, machine learning, artificial intelligence and IOT. Susan was a big data pioneer, before it was mainstream, specifically Geospatial Data, LIDAR data and other data sources for better management decisions.
Susan has worked across Canada in real world applications of big data, technology and infrastructure and she knows the time is now for transformational change in designing, building, operating and maintaining the built world. The key to this is BIM. Building Information Models.
As a University of Waterloo Alumni with an Honors Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering (B.A.Sc.) as well as 25+ years in executive leadership, Susan has led organizations through substantial growth and transformation. She has represented portfolio owners worth billions of dollars of infrastructure across Canada and understands the value of accurate digital data to design, build, operate and maintain the built world. She is dedicated to finding applied use cases and is an advocate for open Standards and the advancement of BIM. She is an expert at bringing together multidisciplinary teams to advance technology for the betterment of Canada.
